I am currently starting an Open Source GNU Music Production suite called Open Audio.org. Our tribe is at tribe.net/openaudio . I have no start-up money but this is the kind of project that WILL take off very quickly after its official launch via website donations. The money will be there if there are dedicated people and it will pay good(most of my family are computer programmers). I do have a significant amount of programming experience(mostly 3D graphics programming) but need people with DSP programming experience.

The goal of Open Audio.org is to integrate all of the current open source music and audio tools(all listed at ccrma.stanford.edu/planetccrma/software/ ) into one package that is portable. The other goal of Open Audio.org is to create an complete Open Source virtual instrument and DSP development environment called the Open Audio Integrated Development Environment(pron. Open AudIDE). The secondary objective is to make the official International Standard for an Open Source DSP API(something on par with VST, AU, and RTAS). I've got the whole project Road Map done. This project is BIG. If anyone has any experience with Kernel level audio programming or knowledge of how to get patents, PLEASE MESSAGE ME SOON!!! We really want this to happen and I've got hardware that we will be selling with it(we will be the only ones allowed to sell hardware for it). Hit me up!
