Leatherwoods is a BDSM camp out held each August near Salem, OR. This year, the event is Aug 15 to Aug 17. This event features more than a dozen presentations, demos and discussions on relationships, play and service as they relate to BDSM. It is a bargain at $25 for the entire three day, two night event. This price is good through July 23. After that, it goes up to $35.00. You have the option of renting a campsite (approx 10x10) holding 4 persons at $8 per night, an RV space with limited hookups at $10 per night, or there is a list of nearby Salem motels at the website, www.leatherwoods.org. An outdoor dungeon for BDSM play will have dungeon monitors til midnight each night. The Leatherwoods Maul will feature BDSM related toys, furniture, jewelry and fetish wear as well as quality vanilla items made by members of the kink community. You will need to provide your own meals, but there will be an opportunity for a potluck meal. Coffee and snacks will be available for purchase in the pavilion. Due to venue and Forest Service restrictions, no campfires on the ground are allowed.
This event is open and accepting of all sexual orientations, lifestyles and kinks. This is a safe and supportive environment in which one can plan to meet online contacts. This is NOT an orgy. This is a "drama-free" zone. This is a clothing optional event. This is a sex-positive but not sex-imperative event. This is a gathering of like minded adults who might be open to a new experience or willing to teach you a thing or two, or to help you as you explore the realm of BDSM through questions, answers, demonstrations, and possibly experience. All activities are negotiated and consensual. Respect for fellow campers and the use of good manners are imperative.
Registration closes on Aug 6, so get on with it! No registrations will be accepted at the event. The opening ceremonies on Friday night includes a fire play performance and there will be a presentation of BDSM fire play basics and safety bit later that evening. Come, learn how to burn your man (or woman), without causing injury or burning down the house. Fire=Good!
